Quality of Lab Grown Artificial Diamonds is measured on the basis of their chemical content, light reflectivity level, hardness and brightness. These are produced either by applying carbon layer on seeds of diamond or manufactured under high temperature (approximately 2200 F) and high pressure (around 727,000 pounds). Application of carbon or methane gas is considered as vital part of artificial diamond making process in laboratory. Physical, optical and chemical attributes of these manmade diamonds are similar to the characteristics of their natural counterparts.
